Directly below the beautiful High Line, David Byrne has taken over the dirt lot with his art installation “Tight Spot” curated by Pace Gallery. “Tight Spot” houses a giant 48-foot wide inflatable globe crammed underneath the High Line’s trestle combined with an audio component. There is an occasional sound of bursts of over-saturated rumble which is Byrne’s voice layered to sound as though there is a ghost-train in Pace’s 510 West 25th Street gallery. The exhibit ends this Saturday, so go while you still can!

Byrne’s installation gives a new meaning to the saying “let the world pass you by.” Now—or at least until October 1—you can pass the world by on 25th Street.
