Register Checklist

Are they greeting guests as they come in the door? Are they interacting with guests appropriately eg: not yelling next? Are they offering alternatives to specific products we may not have? Are they checking to see if client is interested in a stamp card? Are they giving a personable experience to each customer while still moving the line along?
Are they putting names on cups? Are offering a tray for 2 or more drinks? Are they bagging to go and to stay pasties correctly? Are they filling ice and liquid to the correct levels? Are they writing down correct short hand for the baristas? Are they inputting everything into square correctly and saying back the order? Are they saying out of ____ and giving back correct change? Are they grabbing pastries as they are being ordered? Are they grabbing cups with so their fingers are touching where the client may drink from?
Are they knowledgeable and giving correct information on our products? Are they asking the shift leader if they don’t know the answers about our products?
Are they staying on top of brewing coffee, not brewing too much, are they using oldest coffee first, setting timers?
Are they taking initiative on side work and what needs to be taken care of during down time? If not are they asking to see what needs to be taken care of? Eg: bussing the floor, restocking and cleaning the condiment station, making sure behind the counter is clean, wiping down tables, sweeping, restocking bathroom, sweeping in front of shop, making sure impulse fridge is stocked, retail case is tidy, etc.
